Originally known as ‘Programme’ when first erected in the 1960s, The Pithay was used primarily as an office space. Over time, the building became dated and in dire need of being brought back to life. 180,000sq ft was transformed into a vibrant and modernised space for creatives, tech specialists, and rentable office spaces. Visitors to the building can enjoy a range of businesses such as a café, gym, and even a dance studio.
Steel windows by Clement Windows Group Ltd were selected to revitalise the building – 510 windows in total were polyester powder painted in a modern yet timeless signal black (RAL 9004).
To fit the clean atmosphere now brought to The Pithay Building, Steel Window Fittings supplied the popular B195K09F- A key locking Straight Classic window handle with pleasing-to-the-eye linear lines. Complimentary slide stays (B59KN OG) were also fitted to the steel windows, with both pieces of furniture finished in an understated satin chrome.
